Improve primary and secondary education through the promotion of school choice. Parents should have the right to determine where they send their children to school. If a family does not want to send their children to a public school they should be able to apply their tax dollars to send their children to private schools, charter schools or help fund their homeschooling. Public expenditure on K-12 education has grown while education quality has diminished, particularly in urban areas. . This is a system where administrators make hundreds of thousands of dollars per year while teachers are made to just get by. Where families are forced to buy houses in expensive neighborhoods to access the better schools. Providing parents with options on where and how to educate their children will promote accountability in education, and produce better outcomes for students.
