Asian and Indian American Education Rights

Across the country Asian and Indian American students have represented some of the hardest working and most talented students. Yet many colleges have been accused of limiting the number of Asian and Indian American students they accept each year or require those students to score higher on admission tests than any other group. To think that universities receiving federal funding find it acceptable to enact “caps” on the number of admissions for certain ethnicities or handicap their test scores is not only un-ethical, it is un-American.

As your congressman, on my first day in office, I will introduce legislation banning admissions discrimination against Asian American and Indian American students at any university that receives government funding.
